Client stories

Specific notes from traders who sat through risk-to-reward planning work — workshops, desk reviews, and the Ratio lab.

Workshop voices

“I used to move stops to ‘give the trade room.’ After the workshop I write the invalidation first and leave it alone. Still miss some runners — but I stop bleeding on the leftovers.”
Marcus T. · ASX swing trader · Risk-reward workshop, March intake
“The room was quieter than I expected. We spent almost an hour arguing about where a swing really broke on the AUD pair. That argument alone cleaned up how I mark stops at home.”
Elena V. · FX swing trader · Risk-reward workshop

Desk review notes

“The desk review was blunt about my 1:1 targets on wide stops. We rebuilt three open setups the same afternoon. Worth the North Sydney trip for that alone.”
Priya N. · FX day trader · Desk plan review
“I brought two losers I was embarrassed about. We did not talk psychology slogans — we measured the risk I had pretended was ‘half a percent.’ Size was the real problem.”
Jon H. · Index futures · Desk plan review

Ratio lab — longer look

Case note: four weeks to a floor that sticks

A Sydney-based swing trader joined the Ratio lab after years of “aiming for 2R” without writing the target first. In week one her submitted plans still showed 1.2R after the stop was placed honestly. By week three she was discarding those setups before the open instead of forcing a target into thin air. She finished the lab with a 1.8R floor for ASX industrials and a one-page template she still emails herself on Sunday nights. She noted one reservation: evening sessions after a full workday are tiring, and she would have preferred a Saturday block — something we now offer on alternate intakes.

Case note: desk share from regional NSW

A regional NSW trader completed two desk plan reviews over video after attending one workshop in person. The second review focused on gold futures stops that sat inside noise. Rewriting invalidation outside the prior three-bar overlap cut his planned risk by roughly a third on the same account percentage — because size finally matched a stop he would actually honour. He still prefers in-person workshops for the shared screen wall, but the video format kept the arithmetic going between trips to Sydney.
