How Code Repo collects, uses, and retains personal information from enquiries and session bookings.

Information we collect

  • Identity and contact details you submit (name, email, phone if provided)
  • Enquiry content (session interest, message text, preferred dates)
  • Booking and payment administration details for confirmed sessions
  • Limited technical data such as browser type and pages visited when analytics cookies are accepted (see /cookies/)

We do not ask for trading account passwords, government ID numbers, or payment card details through the public enquiry form.

Why we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and administer bookings
  • To send session logistics and materials you requested
  • To improve the website when analytics are consented
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations

We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes above, with your knowledge when you submit a form or complete a booking.

Retention

Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months if no booking follows. Booking and invoice records are retained for seven years for accounting and dispute purposes, then securely deleted or de-identified. Analytics data retained by providers follows their stated periods.

Access, correction, and complaints

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold by emailing hello@code-repo.digital. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

International transfers

Our email and hosting providers may process data in Australia or overseas. Where overseas processing occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle information consistently with Australian privacy expectations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share details only with service providers who help us operate email, hosting, or accounting — and only as needed — or when required by law.

Children

Sessions and the site are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy by posting changes here with a revised date.
