What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help pages remember preferences, keep basic functions working, or understand how the site is used.
How we use cookies
Code Repo uses essential cookies required for core site behaviour (such as remembering your cookie choice) and, only if you accept, analytics cookies that help us see aggregate visit patterns. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not block access to pages, session information, or the enquiry form.
Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key coderepo_cookie_consent. You can change your mind by clearing site data for code-repo.digital and reloading the page to see the banner again. Full privacy practices are described in our privacy policy.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| coderepo_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies | Until cleared (localStorage) | Code Repo |
| _crs_session | Maintains basic load-balancer / host session continuity when served by our host | Session | Hosting provider |
| _crs_analytics | Anonymous page-view counts when analytics are accepted | 6 months | Code Repo analytics |
| _crs_analytics_id | Distinguishes unique visitors for aggregate statistics when accepted | 6 months | Code Repo analytics |
Essential vs analytics
- Essential — required for consent storage and reliable delivery of pages. These run regardless of the analytics choice where technically necessary.
- Analytics — optional. Used only after Accept. They do not identify you by name and are not used to sell advertising lists.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts when pages load. That request can expose your IP address to Google in line with their infrastructure. We do not embed third-party advertising cookies. If we add a new analytics provider later, this table will be updated.
How to manage or disable cookies
Use the Accept or Reject buttons on our cookie banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect whether we can remember your preference, so the banner may appear again.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics does not remove session listings, fees, or the contact form. You may see the consent banner again after clearing storage. Some browser settings that block all cookies can also clear localStorage and reset the banner.
